Points of Balance.
Points of Balance.
Arms long and palms engaged, you press back to Child’s Pose. Given time to deepen here, the teacher touches your back lightly. *Whoosh* Your structure, your thoughts, and your breath let go at once.
How was such light contact so impactful? Compassionate contact sings to our systems: it is safe to relax, exhale, and replenish. In your Child’s Pose, mentally you weren’t aware that you were holding, but energetically your whole being was anticipating “next movement”. While physical repetition can cultivate the stamina of new habits, it can also render tension, both muscular and energetic. Because Jin Shin Do® involves touch and the Chinese meridians, it releases the effort that amasses in the tissues. Your body’s methods of compensating for the muscular and energetic tightness subsequently shifts as chi flows, and restores mobility. The intuitive body-mind® element of Jin Shin Do® reaches the energetic motifs that unconsciously develop in your body. Because it relaxes the body and the brain, Jin Shin Do® creates a safe venue to feel and resolve emotions. It helps you to integrate past experiences, and fully embody in the present moment. Jin Shin Do®, “The Way of the Compassionate Spirit”, refreshes the whole being: body, mind, heart, and spirit. With intelligence and care, it enriches the integrity of the body’s systems and functions, calibrates inner harmony, and enhances all areas of your asana practice. Comments are closed.
